Tuesday, May 2nd: Annual Business and Club Elections meeting, no guests.    Dinner will be Lasagna with garlic bread.

Social at 6 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm at the Manotick Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 314, 5550 Ann Street, Manotick, ON.

The Directors have a major concern about the meeting attendance and about members contacted by Email etc. who do not respond whether or not they are attending a meeting or respond maybe. 

We strongly encourage members to get out to the meetings if it is possible to do so. This is your Club please come to the meetings and support your Club. Your Club is much more fun and healthy if you participate. You have committed your support to Kiwanis now is the time to show that commitment!

The Manotick Main St & Bridge St Spring Clean up:

Once again we will do the street clean-up on Sat. April 29th, 8:00 am for breakfast at the Miller’s Oven then 9:15 am start. Contact Nick Morabito at 647-678-7475 to volunteer

 
Divisons 12 and 13 Caucus Meeting: will be held on Saturday, May 6th from 1 pm to 4 pm at 359 Terry Fox Drive, Suite 200, Kanata ON.  Everyone is welcome, the focus will be on Membership. Let LG Ralph Tweedie know if you plan to attend. 
 
Manotick Community Key Club is organizing a car wash to be held Saturday, May 6th from 1 to 4 pm, one day before the Manotick Miler. Participants in the run will get a discount in their packages for the car wash. It will be held beside the Independent Grocery.   See Peter Bachelor for details.
 
Aktion Club Meeting:  Our club hosts the Ottawa Aktion Club meeting on Tuesday, May 9th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at the Montgomery Legion, 2nd floor,  330 Kent St in Ottawa.  Please contact Glenn Pushman to volunteer.
 

Blood Donor Clinic: Tuesday, May 9, 2017 / 2:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Manotick United Church, Manotick Main street. Need 3 volunteers for each shift. Shifts are  2:00 - 4:30 pm and 4:30 - 7:00 pm.  Note: Volunteers are to arrive a half hour before the clinic starts and leave a half hour after the clinic ends as donors are still being processed and are going through the refreshment area.  Contact Claude Laperrière to volunteer your time.

Board of Directors Meeting at Hyfield Place: on Tuesday, May 9th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  All members welcome to attend.

Senior Bingo at Carleton Lodge: on Wednesday, May 11th from 6:45 - 8:00 pm.  Come help out at this hands-on-service project of the club.  Contact Debbie Mulvihill to volunteer.

Volunteers at Ottawa Airport to welcome Kiwanians and guests on Wed. May 17th and on Thurs. May 18th to Ottawa and to the EC&C District Convention.  There is now a full roster of club members
who have stepped forward to perform this task.  I would like to thank Doug and Marg Demers, Brian Cromie, Colin Crosbie, Jeff Kashin, Carol Adams and Lucie Sauvageau for giving of their time to do this.          Glenn Pushman, Organizer.

Kiwanis - Aktion Club Leadership Conference:
 
Thursday, May 18, 2017- 11:00 am to 3 pm, Royal Canadian Legion, Montgomery Branch #351,2nd floor, 330 Kent St. Ottawa, ON.  This is a great opportunity to support our Aktion Club Advisors & members.  Although there are a lot of activities going on, I hope some of you will check out this event.  Volunteers would be welcomed to attend wearing their Kiwanis  shirts, hats and name badges.
