For over 55 years, the Kiwanis Club of Manotick has helped strengthen our community. While our focus is on youth, we support many non-profit initiatives to help provide a safe yet fertile environment for all ages.  We are part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Tuesday, October 4th - Handover night with the induction of the new Club President Rick Czuba and the new Club Board by LG Ralph Tweedie. Dinner will be Roast Beef and all the fixingsSocial at 6 pm with dinner at 6:30pm at the Manotick Royal Canadian Legion Br. 314, 5550 Ann Street, Manotick, ON.  

Tuesday, October 18th - The theme is Halloween for this *Partners Night*Larry Ellis will talk about Ann, the Ghost of Watson's Mill.  We will enjoy an Oktoberfest meal.

So let's dress up for this occasion!!

Social at 6 pm with dinner at 6:30pm at the Manotick Royal Canadian Legion Br. 314, 5550 Ann Street, Manotick, ON.

Joe Robert's Push for Change campaign

against Youth Homelessness 
  1. Saturday, September 24th, Orleans Kiwanis hosting Joe at the Proulx Farm in Cumberland. Joe speaking to teenagers at 4 pm ,and then Joe participating in a sleep out at Screamers.   
  2. Monday, Sept 26th, Orleans Kiwanis have arranged to walk with Joe from downtown Orleans to Parliament Hill (6 am to 1 pm).  Suggestion to all Kiwanians to pick up the walk along Rideau Street about 11:30 am.
  3. Tuesday, Sept 27th Joe is speaking to Immaculata High School (9-10:30 am)  – all four school boards, 500 students. Arranged by the Ottawa Kiwanis Club.   This event is full.
  4. Tuesday, Sept 27th, 1:00 to 2:30 pm, Algonquin College – student commons area, open to public and all Kiwanians - arranged by Ottawa Kiwanis Club
  5. Thursday, Sept 29th.  Nepean Kiwanis Gord Clark speaking at Centerpoint Thearte at 3:30 to 5:30 pm  including a youth rally, the Spirit of the Streets choir, and Matt Scobie of CTV as Master of Ceremonies plus a B-B-Q. Joe to speak at the rally.

SAGE KIWANIS CHARTER LUNCHEON: will be held October 5, 2016 at the Restaurant International, Algonquin College at 12:00pm noon, $40.00 pp. Tickets will be available from PP. Jack Campbell at  jeancamp@magma.ca  or   613-731-3702

Club Board Meeting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 11th at 7:00 pm, at Hyfield PlaceAll members are welcome to attend a Board meeting.

Kiwanis Key Leader camp at the Circle Square Ranch - Arden will take place Oct 21- 23, 2016.  Adult drivers will be needed for driving youth to the camp on Friday Oct 21st and from camp on Sunday, October 23rd. Please contact Glenn Pushman if you can help.

Governor`s Visit: On the weekend of Nov 4-5, 2016 Governor Phil Rossy will visit our Division 13 and will attend a special SLP event,  the Region C Caucus meeting and the KC of Manotick`s Charter Night celebrations   Stay tuned for more details to follow.  LG Ralph Tweedie is organizing this weekend.

Region C - SLP Event:

This year, Aktion Club Chairperson Dave Trigger (Kiwanis Club of Ottawa) has joined us in highlighting our Aktion Club members. These are the details:
The event: Aktion Club Karaoke
Date/Time: Friday Nov. 4th 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Place: Montgomery Legion, 2nd Flr, 330 Kent St.,
           Ottawa, ON 
Cost: Your time and a few wrapped Halloween treats***

*** These treats will be turned in at the door & will be distributed during the evening. If there are leftovers then we can leave them with the club for one of their Tuesday meetings.

Region C Caucus Meeting: will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016 (9:30 am to 3:30 pm) at the Hilton Airport Garden Inn. All clubs for Divisions 11, 12 and 13 are invited to attend.  Cost is  $25 for lunch and coffee breaks.

Program to include Gov. Phil Rossy; LG’s from Division 11, 12 and 13; Trustee Marj Buck for Region C; Key Leader VC Ontario - Glenn Pushman; SLP Admin. Firma French; Featured speaker: Norm Bowley speaking on Purposeful Communications; and more.

Kiwanis Club of Manotick 56th Charter Night and Governor's Visit:  On Saturday, Nov. 5th the Manotick Kiwanis will host Governor Phil Rossy at this event which will take place at the Stonebridge Golf Club, 68 Hawktree Ridge, Nepean, ON.  6:00 pm - Cocktails, 7:00 pm - Dinner, Semi-Formal Attire.  Dinner is Angus Roast Sirloin or Vegetarian option.  The special Guest Speaker: Governor Phil Rossy.  Afterwards burn up the dance floor with The Keith Glass Band.   Door Prizes, 50/50 draw, Fun and Camaraderie. Tickets are $65 per person
